One step greener with every swipe
Trees generate oxygen, store carbon, stabilise the soil, are home to wildlife and make our landscape look lovely. The UK needs more of them – lots more! Why? Because it’s the least wooded country in Europe.
Woods are home to thousands of our most precious species, from dormice and glow worms to bluebells and butterflies. An ancient oak can support around 1,000 species.
Deforestation to make way for roads, housing and agriculture means only 2% of the UK’s precious ancient woodland remains. Once lost, it can’t be replaced.
The Woodland Trust plants trees on sites with pockets of ancient woodland that are particularly species rich. So when you swipe, you’re helping to make this happen.
The more IKEA FAMILY members we get to swipe, the more forests we’ll create. So tell your friends and family!
There are lots of ways to get involved with The Woodland Trust. Visit and enjoy their woods, help them plant trees at home, at school and on the Trust’s sites. Find out more and join the Trust.
